This short experimental film/installation depicts our human perception of time and how we inherently strive towards its measurement, understanding and preservation. Time is essentially timeless and our efforts to grasp or preserve the immortal through a human lens take away from its true essence. The hands serve to embody our desire to grasp that which is beyond our comprehension. In order to portray this idea that time exists as another dimension beyond our capacity of understanding, this film was projected onto 3 suspended muslin cloths that represent the various dimensions through which time transcends.

Stills of the video as it is projected on 3 muslin cloths. The layers of the cloth gave the film a more 3-dimensional quality.
